How should I choose a Padel racket?

Choosing the right padel racket is important and can have an impact on your game, so we are here to help! There are two main features to consider: the Padel racket shape and the weight. Our Guide to Rackets can help you decide what's best for you.

Can I try Padel rackets before buying?

Yes! We offer a range of demo and rental rackets for a small cost so you can try before you buy.

Where do we ship?

We ship anywhere in New Zealand.

Why are padel rackets so expensive?

Padel rackets are all handmade and use very high-quality materials such as carbon, fibreglass, and EVA rubber. We also have to import rackets from countries such as Spain and Portugal where most padel brands originate!

How many people do I need to play padel?

Padel is played in doubles format. You will need 4 people in total for a match.

Are padel balls different to tennis balls?

Yes, padel balls are 8% smaller than tennis balls and lower in pressure. This means they are slightly lighter and less bouncy. They also have a thicker layer of felt compared to the tennis ball.

Why can't I book more than 7 days in advance?

Non-members can book matches on Playtomic a maximum of one week in advance. Members, however, get priority booking and can book up to three weeks in advance.

How much is it to play?

The court fees ranges depending on the specific club, time of day, season, and membership status. Check Playtomic for exact pricing at your preferred location. Keep in mind that the cost can be split among the three other players joining you.

Can I rent rackets and/or balls?

All Pacific Padel clubs offer racket rentals. Balls, on the other hand, have to be purchased. You can arrange racket rentals and purchase balls at our ProShop.

What is the cancellation policy?

Pacific Padel has a 48hr cancellation policy in place. If you wish to cancel your reservation outside of 48 hours before the scheduled match, you can do so directly through the Playtomic app. If you are a member, please refer to your specific membership type cancellation period.

For cancellations within 48 hours, please contact the club directly, explaining the situation and requesting them to cancel or reschedule your reservation. Cancellations or rescheduling outside of the 48 hour policy are at the Club Manager’s discretion.

If your cancellation falls within the club's cancellation policy, you will receive a refund (minus the cancellation fee) within 2-10 business days, credited to your original payment method.

How do I get a refund and how long does it take?

Once your reservation is cancelled, either by you or the club, Playtomic will initiate the refund process using the same payment method you used for the booking.

If you paid by card, the refund can take between 2 and 15 working days, depending on your bank's processing time. If you made the payment using Club Wallet, the refund will be processed automatically.

To check the status of your refund, access the Playtomic app, go to "My Profile," select "Your Payments," and click on "All Transactions" to view the list of all transactions.

Do you sell vouchers?
